1. Dominique Wilkins
Yes, Dominique Wilkins is a 94, so how does he rank higher than the 95s and 96s on this list? Since he’s got 26 Hall of Fame badges. That’s coupled with 22 Gold badges. To top it all off, his 98 offense and 94 defense make him overpowering on either side of the ball.
2. Kawhi Leonard
Nobody can stop a 99 rated defense, the best in the game as a card. Aside from the top card on this list, Kawhi Leonard’s got 50% more Hall of Fame badges than any other Free Agent card, with a total of 18. Shooting, dunking, passing, and defense, Leonard has it all.
3. Russell Westbrook
The goal is to drive to the rim with the point guard and, if the lane isn’t there, to pass it back out to the perimeter. Russell Westbrook is the key to making this strategy work with superior passing and layups. He got 12 Hall of Fame badges. His 97 offense assures that he’ll be getting some free buckets every game. But it’s his 96 defense that is the difference-maker.
4. Giannis Antetokounmpo
Giannis Antetokounmpo’s got one of the best builds a power forward could ask for with the ability to win with strength or speed. His perfect 99 score of defense goes along with a 94 on offense, tied for the highest combined score in the game. He’s also tied for third among Free Agent cards in Hall of Fame badges (12).
5. Dwight Howard
Dwight Howard is a 6’11” true center. He’s one of only five cards that crack double-digit Hall of Fame badges with an even ten. And his maxed-out 99 rating eliminates the possibility of losing on the inside.
6. Stephen Curry
Stephen Curry’s lethal on the dribble, and the instant he gets an opening, he’s either passing to his splash brother counterpart or taking the three from any point on the court. He’s the only player in MyTeam that has gained a 99 rating on offense. With the amped-up ability to shoot three-point balls this year, Curry’s card becomes all the more valuable.
7. John Wall
John Wall’s four Hall of Fame badges are on the low side, but it’s made up for his combination of a 96 on offense and a 93 on defense. Likely the reason that this card gets the coveted 96 rating is due to the speed and acceleration, both of which are jaw-dropping 98.
8. Zach LaVine
For a good as Zach LaVine is at dunking, he’s an even better shooter from mid-range and beyond the arc. This card has Hall of Fame and Gold badges in all four categories, making him more complete than ordinary shooting guards.
9. Jason Richardson
Jason Richardson splits his seven Hall of Fame badges between all four categories, meaning he’s capable in every aspect of the game. The mix of his dunking, passing and shooting create serious matchup problems.
10. LeBron James
LeBron James is so gifted at every piece of the game. His 94 offense and 92 defense are indicators of this talent. The biggest strike against the LeBron James card is the lack of Gold badges. But he makes up for it with seven Hall of Fame badges and twenty-three Silver badges.
